LEADING THE FIGHT AGAINST THE MTA PAYROLL TAX

Sick of being taxed to death by both Albany and Washington? Want to take a strong step to get government out of your pockets?   Fighting the MTA payroll tax is clearly the first step in reclaiming our liberties for the following reasons:
It’s irrefutable that the tax is unconstitutional.  It violates 5 sections of the NYS Constitution and 1 section of the Public Authorities Law.
It is an unfair, burdensome tax that was imposed by dysfunctional Albany, paid for by the people who can least afford it, in the middle of a recession, and became a job-killer.  It is absurd that the tax goes to benefit a government run fiscally irresponsible, mismanaged organization that clearly does not deserve a bail out.
Taxpayers have no seat at the table in Albany.  They need one. Special interest groups get whatever they want.
The MTA is a bottomless money pit. Nobody burns taxpayer dollars better than the MTA, who has a 45 year history of consistent fiscal irresponsibility.
The MTA is a failed business model.  No bail-out would ever save the MTA.   It’s corporate culture is beyond help.
Most important, if taxpayers can’t win this one, it will be extremely difficult to succeed with the larger, out of control tax issues they face like pension reform, real estate tax, school tax, etc…
